Hokie Hope

I know you mourn the loss, as I do, of those precious lives lost at

Virginia Tech.

I can't begin to imagine the depth of the loss felt by that community

which reaches throughout our nation and the world.

I visited the Virgina Tech website

to try to comprehend what is happening there.

During my visit I saw that the alumni of VT have declared this Friday as

national "Hokie Hope" - "Orange and Maroon Effect" day.

Please join me in honoring those lost and offering hope for those in the midst of this tragedy

by wearing orange and maroon on Friday,

regardless of your loyalty to another university.

Our prayers are with you VT!
